The Bordenave estate, at the heart of the Jurançon appellation in Monein, is one of the oldest properties of the area, run from father to son or daughter since 1676. Thanks to important investments in the wine storehouses and the reorganization of the vineyard, the first vintage of wine was presented in 1993.

Bordenave means all the attachment of a family to exalt the roots of a soil. Here our bonds are old, sincere and generous, and we have always remained humble in front of the force of the ground and the value of each moment.

Making the Jurançon is a school of art and patience, an art where time is never really controlled , because the quality prevails above the quantity. It begins from the vine plant to the bottle where the wine will emerge from.

As far as I remember, I have spent all my childhood in the majestic environment of the vineyards. When I was a child, I followed my parents in the vineyards and in the vine storehouses. I was already fascinated by all the magic which surrounded the cordial world of the wine. Initiated later to the vocabulary, and to the true science of the knowledge of wines, I have learnt that tasting the wine is both an art and a work.
